On the regular
We offer kids' programs at 9:00am and 10:30am on Sundays.
-
HeightsKIDS (1st-5th graders) experience a small group, discussion-based Bible study at 9:00am and a large group, digitally-based Bible study at 10:30am. Our lessons coordinate so kids at both hours are learning the same key point but with a different approach and learning style. Kids will get something different out of both hours.
-
Preschoolers (Birth-Kinder) experience small group learning and play at both hours. We offer many developmentally-appropriate classrooms for your child to thrive in. Our Preschool Director, Meagan Ponshock, will work with caregivers to determine the best environment.
-
Kids with Disabilities (Birth-5th grade) can find a welcoming church family at Heights. Learn more about our Disabilities Ministry here.
During the school year, we offer Midweek Kids' programming Wednesdays, 6:30 - 8:00pm.
Our Mission
Serving families with children ages birth through fifth grade,
the Heights Baptist Church Children's Ministry exists to:
-
Recognize the role of caregivers to be the primary spiritual formers, and to equip families with any necessary resources, support, or training in order to nurture your children as they grow in Christ.
-
Serve the community by meeting both spiritual and physical needs of the community through a missional model of ministry.
-
Create a safe environment and establish a sense of trust through the personal care given by leaders, safety measures such as background checks, diaper changing procedures, check-in and check-out procedures, and adhering to an organized schedule and discipline plan.
-
Establish relationships by knowing the name of each child the ministry encounters, to befriend families, and individualize the ministry and care demonstrated to them.
-
See hearts and lives changed by showing the love of Jesus Christ to each child. It is our desire that they would learn the foundational truths that lead to the reception of a relationship with Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
